Yo Te Veo SMA (I See You) is a call to witness those who otherwise may be unseen or forgotten. This collaborative art project to address displacement and migration invites you to come stitch with us at my studio in Colonia Guadalupe and other locations around San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.(SMA) If you wish to form a Yo Te Veo group or already have a stitching group somewhere in the world, I invite you to participate from there.
For right now, we are stitching squares for Palestine, with an eye wide open embroidered on each one. Our goal is to continue making projects, using donations to assist with food and medical emergencies. With hope for a permanent ceasefire and an end to the genocide, we stitch together in solidarity. Certainly, displacement due to war, violence and climate change will continue to destabilize our world, and we vow to bear witness. We will not look away. And we hope you will join us.
